Allspice, also known as Jamaica pepper or new spice, is a spice made from the dried berries of a plant known as Pimenta dioica, a member of the myrtle family. The berries get briefly fermented, before sun-drying until brown.

Often mistaken for a blend of spices, allspice is a single-ingredient seasoning with loads of unique flavor. The flavour of allspice brings to mind cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and pepper.

Whole allspice berries are sometimes used in stews and soups, and for pickling and brining. The ground version is more commonly used in desserts, such as pumpkin cake or pie, spice cakes, and gingerbread.

Almonds are a seed (not a nut!) grown and harvested from trees. They have many health benefits and are a great source of protein, particularly for those who follow a plant-based diet. Almonds are also full of vitamins, minerals, and fibre. They are particularly high in Vitamin E and antioxidants.

Almonds can be eaten raw as a snack on the go or toasted and then added to salads, curries, and cereal toppings.

All our aluminium bottles have an Epoxy liner, a special protective layer on the inside of the bottles. Stops direct contact between your product and the aluminium.  Comes without a top, please purchase one separately.

These chewy, succulent and sweet apple rings are a perfect snack, and are wonderful in baking too.

Use them to make handy fruit and nut snacks, classic apple pies and other tangy, fruity desserts. Add spices like vanilla, ginger, cinnamon and cardamom to your apple rings, and soak, bake, or even batter them! Extra-delicious with ice cream or with chocolate drizzled on top.

Try this beautifully fruit and nutty dried apricot and walnut golden couscous from Bethany's Kitchen for a great picnic or barbeque dish.

These dried apricots retain their darker, more natural brown colour, as they have not been treated with sulphur dioxide. 

If you soak dried apricots they will become plump and can be used to make moist cakes and fruit loaves.  They can also be snacked on straight from the bag or added to trail mix and topping breakfast bowls. They also make a great sweet addition into savoury dishes. 

They are high in iron and rich in fibre.

Arborio rice, or risotto rice, is a variety of short-grain rice used primarily in the classical preparation of risotto, and is named after the area in Italy where it was originally cultivated. Arborio rice is short, fat, and slightly oval-shaped with a pearly white exterior.

Because it undergoes less milling than ordinary long-grain rice, arborio retains more of its natural starch content. Cooking the rice releases this starch, resulting in a firmer, chewier, and creamier rice compared to other kinds of rice.
