Made of GOTS certified organic cotton. The string is long enough for using this bag with mugs or with a teapot: natural unbleached cotton, with no dye.

Simply add loose tea, enjoy a fresh cuppa, then rinse or wash and enjoy again and again. Partners perfectly with our loose leaf tea.

How to hand wash: turn the teabag inside out and compost all the tea bits. Soak in cold water to help prevent stains. Hand wash in your sink with a little washing up soap, then a quick rinse under the tap. Line dry.

For a deeper clean, soak the tea bag for a few hours in vinegar and water (apple cider or white vinegar) 1 part vinegar to two parts water. If the tea bag was used for tea with milk - hand wash after each use. If no milk, rinse and reuse 1-2 times (same day) and then hand wash.

SUSTAINABLE

Jute plants are easy to grow, have a high yield per acre and, unlike cotton, have little need for pesticides and fertilisers. Jute grows during the rainy season in Bangladesh which is from June to October. The plants are ready to harvest in four to six months, after the flowers are shed.

The fibres lie beneath the bark around the woody core. To extract the fibre, the jute bundles are submersed in water and left for a few days until the fibres come loose and are ready for stripping from the stalk, then washed and dried. This is what the ReSpiin baskets are made from. The remaining jute stalks can be used in a similar way to wood pulp, or work well as a renewable source of cooking fuel.

Jute plants help to clean the air. During growth they take in three times more CO2 than the average tree, converting this CO2 into oxygen. Jute plants also enrich the soil. As these plants grow fast, they are often used in crop rotation. The leaves and roots left after harvest enrich the soil with micronutrients, maintaining soil fertility. Jute is 100% biodegradable.

A natural olive wood soap dish. Handmade in Germany. Each soap dish is unique as it is hand-carved from a piece of olive wood. Each one is unique with unique characteristics.

This soap dish has water draining holes. Length approx. 12 cm Width approx. 7 cm Height approx 4 cm. Each dish is unique with unique characteristics. Sizes and shapes vary slightly. Please rinse a few times before use to remove some of the natural oils.
