Dried banana chips are a great natural confectionery that can be enjoyed as a great snack, in smoothie bowls or as a dessert topping. Try teaming with various dried fruits, nuts and seeds for a delicious homemade trail mix.

Barley flakes are a product rich in fibre, resulting from freshly harvested barley grains that have had their hard, outer shells removed, a process known as hulling. Once each grain piece is hulled, it is then flattened and cut into thin slices.

These can be eaten alone or mixed with other ingredients, and are a great alternative to oat flakes, resulting in a nuttier, slightly sweeter flavour and chewier texture. They can also be used in the plase of pasta, or other starches in dishes such as stews or soups. 

Try this barley flake and apple porridge as a delicious start to your day.

Basil (Ocimum basilicum) is an annual herb of the mint family (Lamiaceae) grown for its aromatic leaves. It is thought native to India and is widely grown as a kitchen herb. The leaves are used fresh or dried to flavour savoury dishes and create pesto, but is getting more commonly used in sweet dishes and summery cocktails.

Bay leaves, although may not look like much, actually have a sweet, herbal and floral nature that give that extra depth of flavour in dishes. They come from the bay laurel tree, native to the Mediterranean. Most commonly known for their addition into broths, soups, and stews as a flavour enhancer.

Maybe try not to eat them whole though - they're not so tasty as a snack.

These beeswax wraps are a family-run business - they are handmade, eco-friendly & award-winning!

Made by Michele and Andrew, a husband-and-wife team working from their small East London studio. Every wrap is handmade from start to finish: no cutting presses, commercial wax cookers or waxing conveyor belts. Andrew cuts and measures the fabric, Michele mixes, cooks and hand-paints the wax, then each one is line-dried, inspected, folded and labelled by hand.

Most wraps sold on Amazon or in supermarkets are mass-produced in factories in China, with no way of knowing what's gone into them or how they were made. These wraps are different: 100% handmade with full traceability, and independently lab-tested to international standards.

Testing confirms no harmful substances (lead, arsenic, mercury and 23 others), no seepage of the wax into food, and no transfer of smell or taste. They comply with UK and EU food-contact regulations, and carry the international "approved for food use" glass and fork symbol, a certification very few beeswax wrap makers hold. All raw materials are also approved safe in food by the US FDA, UK FSA and European Food Safety Authority, with OEKO-TEX certified fabric.

Why we love them

An easy swap for cling film on everything except raw meat and fish. Being natural, they soften in warmth and firm up when cool.

How to use: Warm in your hands, then press and mould around your food. It sticks to itself, just like cling film.

How to clean: Cool water and eco-friendly washing-up liquid, then air dry. Avoid dish soaps containing alcohol, as it breaks down the wax.

Keep away from heat: No hot water, microwaves, ovens, dishwashers or flames. Let food cool before wrapping. In hot weather, avoid direct sun or parked cars, and keep wrapped food cool with an ice pack.

Lifespan: A year or more with proper care. Once past its best, reuse as a natural firelighter.

Each of our products contains between a quarter and a third of our main superfood ingredient in its natural fresh form. We use fresh British Shiitake, fresh British Kale, fresh British Beetroot, and wild Atlantic seaweed harvested off the Irish coast.
