Our new breastfeeding peer support gatherings are a celebration of connection, shared experience, and community. Facilitated by Polly Smith, IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), these welcoming meet-ups are designed to support breastfeeding mums at all stages of their journey. Whether you’re exclusively breastfeeding, mixed feeding, pumping, or just want to be in a space where you feel understood, this is your time to come along, connect and be supported.
Held upstairs in the calm setting of Lemon and Jinja’s beautiful café, these sessions offer the chance to chat with other mums, ask questions, share your story, and receive compassionate, evidence- based support in a relaxed environment.
Pollyis an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), having qualified in 2020.
Pollyworks one-to-one with families, providing expert support for complex breastfeeding challenges. Her work is rooted in empathy, evidence-based knowledge, and a deep respect for each family's unique journey.
Her passion for infant feeding support began long before qualifying as an IBCLC.She is a mother of twins, born prematurely. Her own experiences navigating the challenges of breastfeeding them are what first inspired her commitment to helping others.
In 2014, she became a qualified breastfeeding counsellor and has since volunteered extensively in her community. She leads local breastfeeding support groups, facilitates antenatal breastfeeding classes, and provides one-to-one support. Over the years, she has supported hundreds of nursing parents with care and compassion. She now balances private work as an IBCLC with volunteer support for breastfeeding.
Above all, she is dedicated to helping every nursing parent achieve their feeding goals. She believes that families know what’s best for them, and her role is to listen, understand, and empower them to make informed decisions with confidence.
