Rings: Intro to Ethical Jewellery

Join Emily of The Metalsmith at Lemon & Jinja for an evening of creativity, craftsmanship, and conscious design and leave with your own handmade silver ring!

This hands-on taster workshop begins with a short presentation on the world of ethical jewellery, exploring what sustainable and responsibly sourced materials really mean, alongside some of the key initiatives to look out for and things to avoid.

You’ll then spend most of the session designing and creating your own sterling silver wrap ring, with plenty of freedom to make something that feels uniquely yours. And there’s an extra story behind the silver wire you’ll be using; its origins are a little unexpected.

- A hair tie if you have long hair
- Glasses, if you need them for close-up work
- Clothes you don’t mind getting a little messy: we recommend avoiding synthetic fabrics, loose or drapey clothing, and open-toed shoes for safety.
